Tekton Services SMS Home Services Platform

Program Description

Tekton Services is an SMS-based home services marketplace operated by Tekton Services LLC. Our platform connects customers with trusted local contractors for home service needs including general contracting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, painting, flooring, and landscaping. All communication between customers, contractors, and our service is conducted via text message. By using our service, you agree to the following terms.

Program Phone Numbers

Tekton Services uses two dedicated SMS numbers to keep customer and contractor conversations separated:

• Customer number: (848) 283-5866. Customers text this number to start a service request and will receive all customer-facing messages from this same number.
• Contractor number: (888) 786-8579. This number is used for contractor-facing communications only and is published on our contractor application page so prospective contractors can see exactly what they are opting in to before submitting the SMS consent checkbox. Only approved contractors who have confirmed their SMS consent receive messages from this number.

When Tekton Services relays a customer message to a contractor, or a contractor message to a customer, the sender's phone number is not shared with the other party; our platform proxies the conversation through the two numbers above.

Consent and Opt-In

Customers: By sending a text message to Tekton Services at (848) 283-5866, you consent to receive SMS messages from Tekton Services related to your home service request. The first reply you receive will be a compliance disclosure identifying Tekton Services, stating the expected message frequency, noting that message and data rates may apply, and describing the STOP and HELP keywords. Consent is not a condition of purchase: you are under no obligation to continue using the service after receiving the disclosure, and can reply STOP at any time to opt out.

Contractors: Prospective contractors apply to join the Tekton Services network through our public web application at https://tektonservices.llc/contractors.html. The application form contains an explicit, separately-labeled SMS consent checkbox (not pre-selected) that discloses the contractor number (888) 786-8579, the message types the contractor will receive, the expected frequency, the Msg&Data rates disclosure, and the STOP and HELP keywords. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of applying to Tekton Services; contractors may also apply by emailing info@tektonservices.llc. After application review, an administrator confirms the contractor's consent before any SMS messages are sent.

Message Types

Messages sent through the Tekton Services platform are transactional and service-related. We do not send marketing or promotional messages. Messages may include:

• Initial conversational replies while we look for a contractor
• Quote delivery, comparisons, and better-offer notifications (lower price or sooner availability)
• Scheduling confirmations, rescheduling, and reminders
• Address-sharing confirmation prompts before a contractor visit
• Job status updates, consultation visit follow-ups, and service completion notices
• Contractor cancellation notices and "checking other options" updates
• Payment link delivery, payment confirmations, refund notifications, and dispute notifications
• Rating and feedback requests after a job completes
• Request expiration or timeout notices when a job cannot be matched
• For contractors: new job opportunity alerts, customer messages relayed through the platform, quote request details, job assignment confirmations, earnings notifications, invoice follow-up prompts, onboarding links, and dispute or refund notices
• Other operational notifications necessary to coordinate your service request

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies with the complexity and duration of your service request. A typical request involves 5 to 15 messages per service interaction; requests with multiple quotes, rescheduling, disputes, or refunds may involve more.

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your text messaging plan and any charges that may be incurred.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time:

• Reply STOP to any message from Tekton Services to unsubscribe from all SMS communications. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.
• Reply HELP to any message for assistance and support information.

After opting out, you will no longer receive service-related messages. If you wish to resume SMS communications in the future, you may text us again to re-enroll.

Privacy

Service Terms

Tekton Services acts as a platform connecting customers with independent contractors. We are not a party to the service agreement between customers and contractors. Contractors are independent professionals responsible for the quality and completion of their work.

Tekton Services does not guarantee the availability, quality, or timeliness of any contractor's services. We require contractors to self-attest to any applicable licensing and insurance as part of joining our network and reserve the right to verify these attestations, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of contractor-provided information. Customers should independently verify a contractor's credentials and exercise their own judgment before hiring.

Payment Terms

Payment for services is processed through our secure payment platform. The contractor is the merchant of record for all transactions. A platform fee is included in the service price. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor.

Limitation of Liability

Tekton Services provides the platform on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tekton Services LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our platform or the services provided by contractors.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
